Green’s of Pangbourne is a trading name of Hine Meats Limited. We are the “controller” of the personal information described here, which means we decide how it is used and are responsible for looking after it.

What information we collect
We only collect what we need to take and fulfil your order.
- Online order form: your name, phone number, email address, delivery address and postcode (if you choose delivery), the items you order, your collection or delivery day, and any notes you add.
- Orders by phone, email or in the shop: the same kind of details, which we may enter into our order system.
- Emails and messages you send us: your contact details and whatever you choose to tell us.
- Payment: card payments for deliveries are taken over the phone or in the shop. We do not collect card details through our website and we do not store full card numbers.
How and why we use it
UK data protection law says we must have a lawful reason for each use of your information. Ours are:

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
Christmas reminders and news by email
If you order from us, we may add your email address to our mailing list so we can tell you when Christmas ordering opens and about similar products. We send these emails using Mailchimp.
You can say no at any time, free of charge:
- tick the “don’t email me Christmas reminders” box on the order form, or tell us when you order;
- click unsubscribe at the bottom of any email we send; or
- email mail@greensofpangbourne.com or call 0118 984 2063.
Once you opt out we will not email you marketing again. We will still email you about any order you place.
Who we share it with
We only share your information with companies that help us run the business, and only what they need:
- GoDaddy: hosts our website and our email, so your orders and emails are stored on their servers.
- Mailchimp (Intuit): sends our reminder emails. Mailchimp is based in the USA. Transfers are protected by safeguards recognised under UK law.
- Our accountants: may see sales records when preparing our accounts.
These companies may only use your information to provide their service to us. We will also share information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep information only as long as we need it, then delete it.

Cookies
Our website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not use analytics that follow you around the web. Our fonts are stored on our own site, so viewing a page does not send your details to Google or other font services.
The only cookies set are the essential ones WordPress uses when our staff log in to manage the site. These are not set for ordinary visitors.
Keeping it safe
Our website uses a secure (https) connection, so information you send through the order form is encrypted. Access to orders and our mailing list is limited to staff who need it, using password-protected accounts. Paper order forms are kept in the shop and destroyed when no longer needed.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong;
- ask us to delete your information (unless we must keep it, for example for our accounts);
- object to us using your information, including for marketing, which we will always stop;
- ask us to limit how we use it, or to pass it to you or another organisation in a usable format.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we start using a new service. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
