Green’s continues the award winning success in Newbury.
After an impressive win at the Foodex awards earlier this month, Greens managed to continue their success at the Dalziel Newbury ‘Butchers Show’.
The tagline of the Dalziel event is “Stay ahead of your competitors and get recognised as being the best in the business” and Greens certainly left an impression on the competition.
With 12 categories across the competition Greens entered 10 products with a selection of sausages, pies, bacon and ready-made products. The competition is an independent product evaluation from industry experts and is recognised across the industry.
After a morning of networking with suppliers and other butchers the results were in. Greens collected 10 gold awards and won an impressive 5 product categories. Amongst the category product winners were our Chorizo Stuffed Pork Cutlet, The Sizzler Sausage, Ham and Chicken Pie, Old English Burger (availbe in the shop this summer for BBQ season) and our Pork Original sausage, formulated by Master Butcher Royston Hine as a young man, which will now go through to the Champion of Champions competition.
“This was an amazing result for our products. We took a chance entering our new developed Old English Burger so to see it win the category was fantastic. Our Chorizo Stuffed Pork Cutlet has been a competition favourite in recent months too, so we were very pleased to see it be recognised once again” said Chef Philip Cripps.
