The Green’s Christmas Recap

This year’s Christmas recap is no different from the last, our continued competition success has been a key highlight for the team this year. Whilst the number of smaller competitions have decreased, we continue to succeed in major events, most recently at National Meat Exhibition, Stoneleigh Park. Green’s won 15 Gold awards across the board, and were awarded the overall National Winner for our Ham and Chicken Hot Eating Pie and also Champion for our Individual Beef Wellington.

There is also other good news, due to plenty of good grass for the Geese, the grain crop was excellent and there is a world surplus, so prices remain sensible if feed has to be purchased. This all means Turkey and Geese prices remain the same as last year, meaning no increases for you this Christmas.

Our Christmas Guide and order form are now available online, or we have printed copies in-shop. To place an order, please complete and return to us in person, by email or post as soon as possible. This helps so much with our planning and production, and we ask it is returned by the latest, Friday 11th December.

This year we will close at 3.00 p.m on Christmas Eve and reopen on Tuesday 29th December so that our hardworking team get a four day break to enjoy the festive season themselves.
